Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Local storage and session storage are other ways a website can remember information on your device. A.R.X. uses these technologies for account sessions, requested website functions, privacy choices and website statistics.

The cookies you encounter depend on whether you are signed in, your consent choices, your browser settings and the features you use. Cookies set for A.R.X. are separate from those used by an external website after you follow a link.

Services and purposes

WordPress account sessions

A.R.X. runs on WordPress. Sign-in cookies identify your active session so you can use your account without entering your password on every page. Cookies also support requested account and administration preferences. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in or account features from working.

Complianz consent preferences

Complianz provides the cookie banner and stores your choices, the accepted policy version and whether the banner has been dismissed. The consent preference expiry is configured to 365 days. Clearing site data, changing your choices or a policy update can cause the controls to appear again. Complianz also uses browser storage to support the banner.

Google and Jetpack website statistics

A.R.X. includes Google measurement through Site Kit and Jetpack Stats from Automattic to understand website use and improve the service. Statistics are an optional category in the consent controls. Google and Automattic receive technical information when their measurement services run. Their cookie details and related processing are explained in Google’s cookie information and Automattic’s Cookie Policy.

YouTube videos and external services

Portfolios can include embedded YouTube videos. When external content loads, the provider can receive technical information and may use its own cookies or browser storage for playback, preferences, statistics or other purposes described in its policy. See Google’s cookie information for YouTube. An external link opens the provider’s own website, where its own cookie controls apply.

Manage your consent choices

Use the Manage consent button on the website to reopen the cookie controls. Choose Deny to reject optional categories, Accept to allow them, or View preferences to review categories and Save preferences to apply your choices. The Functional category remains active for necessary website functions.

The controls include Statistics and Marketing categories. They record your choices for optional services; a category label does not mean that every service described by that category is used on every page. Your choices on A.R.X. do not change preferences you set directly with Google, YouTube or other external providers.

You can change your choices later using the same button. This does not erase information already processed. To ask about personal data, retention or deletion, use the contact details and rights information in our Privacy Policy.

Duration and browser controls

Some cookies last for a browser session; others remain until their expiry or until you delete them. Account-session duration depends on the sign-in settings and whether you choose to remain signed in. Consent preferences use the 365-day expiry described above. Other services set their own expiry periods, described in the linked provider information.

Your browser’s privacy or site-data settings let you inspect, delete or block cookies and other stored website data. The available controls vary by browser and device. Clearing stored data can sign you out and remove saved preferences. Blocking all cookies can prevent requested account features from working.
